This hand made Easter card is going to a teenage boy. I think it would probably work for any age, but its one of the few that may be suitable for the masculine recipient.
The images are made by stamping with two different stamps. I added some Sparkly Fluff (Rockin Pink) for accents.
The “To” embellishment is cut with the Cricut using a shape from A Walk in my Garden cartridge.
I embossed the background papers using the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder and the Big Shot.
March 30th, 2010
This hand made Easter card features dry embossing with Cuttlebug Embossing Folders
done with the Sizzix Big Shot.
The tag is a punched shape.
The tulips are cut with the Cricut
and come from the folder called A Walk in My Garden.
A bow of white ribbon and a small white eyelet fancy up the look a little.
Happy Spring is a stamped image.

Yet another hand made Easter card featuring die cut tulips.
As you can see, this one is a little different.
I had a scrap of leftover scrapbook paper that I had been saving for years. I loved it because of the spring crocuses.
It worked well with the gold colored Bazzill Bling Card Stock
. The tulips were die cut with the Cricut, using the A Walk in my Garden cartridge. I cut the tulips from a scrap of white paper. After that, I cut just the tulip heads from purple card stock and stuck them on.
The card has a bow of translucent beige ribbon. It doesn’t show up well in the photo but in real life, it looks quite nice.
The sentiment “Happy Spring” is a stamp.
March 26th, 2010
This hand made Easter card is intended for a young child.
The words “BE Happy” are die cuts, as is the wheelbarrow and flowers. I did them using the Cricut Expression 24-Inch Personal Electronic Cutting Machine.
The cartridge is Cricut 29-0223 Walk in My Garden Shape Cartridge.
The background is actually white, although it looks blue in the picture. It is dry embossed using the
Sizzix Big Shot and the small flower flower embossing folder from Cuttlebug.
I glued on a few punched flower shapes to add to the flowers in the wheel barrow, and I used a little Sparkly Fluff in the center of the alphabets.

This is another Easter card using the die cut tulips made with the Walk in my Garden cartridge and the Cricut.
As before, the background is embossed with the Swiss dots, and done with the Sizzix Big Shot.
After cutting the tulip shapes, I ran them through the embossing folder as well, so both tulips and background are embossed with the Swiss dots.
I’ve tied a little yellow bow on the tulips, and the sentiment Happy Spring is a stamped image.

This hand made Easter card features a row of three, small die cut tulips.
The tulips are made with the Cricut 29-0001 Personal Electronic Cutting Machine
and the Cricut 29-0223 Walk in My Garden Shape Cartridge
.
I used the tulips from the cartridge, with the Border Feature. This is the paper with the tulips cut out — I forget what the name is for that, but you know what I mean.
I have covered the tulip heads with Sparkly Fluff (and a glue pen).
The background layers are embossed with the Dots folder from the Sizzix Textured Impressions Embossing Folders 2/Pkg, Dots And Flowers.
I use the Sizzix Big Shot for the embossing.
The happy spring sentiment is a stamp by Memory Box. The upper corner has a small pink rhinestone, which in real life is a good color match to the pink in the card.

. I made this birthday card using a die cut rose. I made the die cut with the Cricut 29-0001 Personal Electronic Cutting Machine
and the Cricut 29-0223 Walk in My Garden Shape Cartridge
The background behind the rose is done with double sided tape and Sparkly Fluff, a product that is similar to Fun Flock, but with sparkles in it.
The background is embossed using the Big Shot and the flower folder from the Sizzix Textured Impressions Embossing Folders 2/Pkg, Dots And Flowers
The Happy Birthday stamp is from The Old Island Stamp Company and the checkered design is scrapbook paper.

This hand made Easter card combines a number of techniques, and it incorporates a new product called Sparkly Fluff by Our Craft Lounge. Sparkly Fluff is similar to Fun Flock, except it contains well… sparkly stuff. Think Fun Flock with glitter and you’ve got it. I suppose you could add glitter to Fun Flock and get the same effect.
In any case, the Sparkly Fluff I used is Rockin Pink, and I bought it at Making Memories with Scrapbooking in Burnaby, BC.
The tulip is a die cut made using the Cricut 29-0001 Personal Electronic Cutting Machine
and the cartridge called Cricut 29-0223 Walk in My Garden Shape Cartridge
.
The tulip is colored with the Sparky Fluff, which in real life is much pinker and sparlier than it appears in this photo.
The background is white card stock that I have embossed using the Sizzix 655268 Big Shot Cutting-and-Embossing Roller-Style Machine
and the Provo Craft Cuttlebug A2 Embossing Folder, Swiss Dots
The stamp, Happy Spring, is by Memory Box.
I quite like this Easter card.
March 15th, 2010
I have made my first 2010 Easter card using Cricut die cuts.
I have had my Cricut Expression 24-Inch Personal Electronic Cutting Machine
for quite some time, but for whatever reason, I have never warmed up to using it. I know that other crafters rave about this machine, so I determined to learn to use it properly. That’s part of the problem, I guess, I never really took the time to really understand how to make this machine sing.
This is my first try. For the font, I used the
Cricut Font Cartridge-Jasmine
. The tulips are cut using the
Cricut Shape Cartridge-Walk In My Garden
.
I’m pleased enough with the results. My design leaves a little something to be desired, but its not bad. I’ll continue with the tulips and see how much I can improve this with my other hand made Easter cards.
