I made these two Christmas or holiday tags for a swap at Art for the Creative Mind. The theme was “vintage white”.
I cut the big tags using the Personal Cricut Electronic Die Cutting Tool. The cartridge was Cricut Cartidge, Joys of the Season. Joys of the Season has dies representing the 12 Days of Christmas, plus several others.
After cutting the big tags, I ran them through the Big Shot, using Cuttlebug embossing folders. Then I rubbed the raised parts with Old Paper distressed ink by Ranger Industries.
I affixed double sided tape on the back of each cut shape, and then sprinkled with glitter. I backed the tags on off-white card stock.
I added the text, also die cut with the Cricut, for ladies dancing and lords-a-leaping.
I cut the small tags using a punch, dry embossed, and glued on the die cut shapes that had been cut out of the big tags.
Finally, I glued on vintage lace at the bottom and added a tie of sheer organza ribbon at the top. I used a different color cord to tie the little tags to the big tags.
