Rubber stamping is almost an essential technique for the scrapbooker, card maker or other crafting enthusiast. Stamped images show up regularly on scrapbook layouts as well as on many other craft projects. To get started, one needs only a rubber stamp, stamping ink, and paper.
This video below demonstrates basic stamping techniques using a wood mounted stamp. It also shows you how to do a technique known as masking and how to color a stamped image. Coloring can be added with any number of products, including stamping ink, colored pencils or pens, chalk, watercolors, pastels, Twinkling H2Os, marking pens, gel pens and almost anything else that provides color.
In the video below, I have used a Hero Arts stamp, a Great Impressions stamp, Memories dye ink, Tim Holtz’ Distress Ink, decorator chalk and Prismacolor pencils.
If you don’t have a craft shop nearby, Two Peas in a Bucket handles many of the stamping and scrapbooking supplies
