I’ve just launched a set of four scrapbook video tutorials, which I have named the Sapphire Videos. Why Sapphire? Since I have decided to make a series of scrapbook videos, I am going to name each after a gemstone. Sapphire seemed as good a name as any for the first video set.
The sapphire video series takes you through the process of creating four scrapbook projects. Three are mini albums. The fourth is a decorated tin box.
These are the four projects included in the Sapphire video.
Dad’s Briefcase is a decorated tin box with a handle. It’s decorated in a masculine theme and makes a good gift for a man. It’s always a challenge to create suitable craft related gifts for men, I find. This project is one that I think will please most guys.
The CD Album is a mini album made from CD disks or DVD disks, then assembled with a spine. It’s incredibly cute. People started asking me for custom orders for this book as soon as I showed it around.
The Gateway Album is modern and elegant. Made completely from card stock and scrapbook paper, it opens up to display photographs inside “gates.” When not in use, it folds up neatly and ties with ribbon.
The Cigar Box Album is made from an old cigar box, but you could also use the wooden cigar box purses found in craft stores like Michaels. An attached drawer handle adds an attractive, decorative touch. Although you could decorate this mini album in any style you want, it makes an excellent mini album for heritage photographs.
