stamped tag art with the grunge look I made this tag art for a challenge at Paper Craft Planet. The terms of the challenge are that we are to make a tag that uses a stamp, plus it must have either a ribbon or twine and also fabric or metal.

The other entrants seemed to be going with the grunge look so I attempted that as well. It’s not my usual style but sometimes its good to try something different.

I cut the tag out of card stock then rubbed one side with Tuscan Earth, a Fresco Chalk ink. I used theĀ  direct to paper method.

If anyone is unfamiliar with that term, direct to paper means you rub the inkpad directly on your paper to add color.

The square stamp is Writer’s Block by 7Gypsies and the words are from the Remember set from Just Right Stampers. Both the square and the word stamps are self inking. The little brown flourish is from Studio G Clear Stamps and I used Artprint Brown from Memories. I also ran the edges of the tag around the Artprint Brown ink (direct to paper method again).

I punched a small hole in the top and centered a plain washer around it. I refer to an ordinary washer from the hardware store . I ran a strip of twine through this. I believe it may be leather but I’m not sure. I then attached a few little brown, round things to the cord and glued another to the front of the tag. I have no idea what they are.

You never know what you might find in my miscellaneous craft supply box. Sometimes I don’t know what the item is or where I bought it. Perhaps at the Dollar Store or maybe at a hardware store.

Tag art is kind of fun. I have a few more unknown items in my craft box. Maybe I should play around with them and see what kind of items I end up with.
