art journal page themed courageThis art journal page is themed “courage”. I made it for a swap at Art for the Creative Mind swap group. We were instructed to use crackle as a technique.

I made the blue-white and blue-beige leaves using colored card stock, the crackle medium, the acrylic paint. I used a leaf die cut and the Big Shot to cut the leaves.

The background I made with two serviettes or napkins, in different shades of blue. I cut the two red leaves from red scrapbook paper, using a punch.

I cut the words “Fine the courage to be unique” from scrapbook paper, and I added a border of red acrylic paint around the outside of the page.

I thought the two red leaves represented uniqueness, given that the other leaves are all crackled and blue.
