Art for the Creative Mind has a swap that involved creating a mini book with a travelog theme. I had been wanting to make a star book for quite some time, so that is what I did.
As it turned out, I had won some lovely travel-themed paper, plus matching embellishments, in an online contest. They were pressed into duty for this project, and they worked well.
Otherwise, I did not purchase anything new. I drew from my stash of supplies and used what was available.
I made a video demonstrating how to make a star book. I will post that tomorrow.
The little round circles that are serving as devices on which to thread strings for closures are called boshers. We used to be able to buy boshers years ago, and I stocked up well. I think they are the handiest thing. In this particular case, I heat embossed them with Old Paper Embossing Powder from Ranger Industries.
