This Collage is Week Five with Lifebook. It is called “Sugar Sugar” and taught by Marieke Blokland. The collage is all about sweets and sugary treats.
We drew the Sugar Sugar woman’s face and painted it on a separate paper. Then, we cut it out ready to attach. The hair is supposed to resemble cotton candy.
We used various acrylic paints and techniques to make the background of the collage.
We attached the head, then drew a body to match, using scrapbook paper for the dress.
Since we did this shortly before Valentine’s Day, I decided to make it a Valentine. I cut hearts using the same paper as the dress, and attached them as shown. I drew the strings in place with a pen, and added a few turquoise buttons to match.
As instructed, I drew some ice cream cones, donuts and cupcakes by hand, using a red pen.
It’s my Valentine Sugar Sugar treat!
